The illusion of a lava flow in Yosemite

It is an illusion created by the setting sun. Every year, in February, the waterfall of Horsetail Fall in Yosemite National Park (California, United States) seems to ignite. When the sun's rays strike the waterfall at the right angle, it takes on the air of a lava flow. The phenomenon lasts only a few minutes before the sun sets.
