Plant that eats other creatures
Drosera is a carnivorous plant with active traps. It attracts, captures and digests insects with its sticky liquid. Insects attracted by the sweet nectar are trapped, then slowly digested to feed the plant. Drosera is found in a variety of moist environments, such as bogs and swamps, and is well adapted to surviving in nutrient-poor soils. This unique strategy enables it to compensate for its lack of nutrients by obtaining essential nutrients from insects.
