Indonesian Kalaweit Association saves gibbons
The Indonesian-based association is leading several actions to protect gibbons and their natural habitat. Created in 1998, this association is today's first gibbon's protection program in the world. Thanks to the donations, the association is buying forests to fight against deforestation. This endangered animal exclusively lives in south-east Asia, with some species who are endemic to Indonesia.
