Rising out of the ashes
In the middle of the desert, the small village of Jubbah in Saudi Arabia is famous for its Neolithic rock art. Created between 7,000 and 9,000 years ago, these sites are among the largest and most beautiful bodies of Neolithic petroglyphs in the Middle East. These engravings offer an immersive insight into ancient life, from the earliest pictorial records of hunting to the development of writing, religion and the domestication of animals.
