It is a species of gecko with huge eyes. The Namibian Palmato gecko is an endemic reptile of the Namib Desert (South West Africa). Having no eyelids, he must regularly clean and moisten his eyes with his tongue. Its eyes are particularly sensitive to daylight, which is why it stays hidden under the sand during the day and only comes out at night.
