Collision with ships is one of the leading causes of accidental mortality in large cetaceans. To avoid this kind of incident, French Commander Frédéric Capoulade and French engineer Pascal Mayol created Repcet. Thanks to this application based on a principle of geolocation in the Mediterranean sea, sailors report cetaceans they come across on their way.
