How do you tell a seagull from a gull?
The seagull and the gull are two species of sea birds that are very often confused. They share the same type of habitat and both have white plumage. To distinguish them, you have to pay attention to their size and the color of certain parts of their bodies. The seagull is smaller than the gull, it has red legs and a head with brown tints. The gull is, on average, three times the size of a seagull, it has a white head and yellow or pink pulp. Photo credit: Debby Hudson
