How do rainbows form?
After the rain comes good weather. Or maybe the rainbow. The sun emits white light. A white light composed of a spectrum of seven colors ranging from red to purple. When the sun is low on the horizon and white light comes in contact with drops of water in the air, these seven colors become visible. This phenomenon occurs during rainy, cloudy weather or in places where water drops are very numerous such as waterfalls. Photo credit: David Brooke Martin
