Bumblebees and hornets, often confused, are in fact quite distinct insects. Bumblebees, from the Apidae family, are larger and hairier, with bright black and yellow colors. They play an essential role as pollinators. Hornets, belonging to the Vespidae family, are larger, feed on insects and can wreak havoc. Despite their size, they are not aggressive, and their sting is no more serious than that of a bee.
