European bison reintroduced to England
3
0
It is the most imposing land mammal in Europe. In England, the bison had been extinct for over 6,000 years. To restore natural habitats, two British associations will reintroduce a small group of European bison in the south-east of the country. The bison eat the bark of trees, rubbing against it to eliminate their winter fur, adding new food sources for other species.
