And under the ice of Antarctica, flows a river!

0
It extends over 450 kilometers. A river has been discovered under the Antarctic ice cap. British, Canadian and Malaysian researchers discovered this body of water during a recent survey in the area. As a reminder, there are several lakes under the Antarctic ice sheet. The recent discovery of this river shows that the flow of water present under the ice is greater than what the researchers thought. According to them, this river, as well as all the other river reserves present under the ice, will strongly contribute to the process of sea level rise in the coming years.
