Underwater robots to help Mediterranean sperm whales
Their population is estimated at 2,500 individuals. The Mediterranean sperm whale has been an endangered species since 2006. Using underwater robots which record the sounds emitted by the animal, British researchers have gathered valuable information on the species, in particular on their location, in order to better protect it.
