The gumboot chiton (Cryptochiton stelleri), affectionately known as the Wandering meatloaf because it looks just like one with its reddish-brown body, is the largest known species of chiton. It has teeth made of iron mineral, three times stronger than human enamel. Researchers are studying the structure of these teeth in the hope of advancing 3-D printing technology, for medical and industrial applications. Source: Oregon State Parks
