Two weeks ago, in Colombia, two pink dolphins (Inia geoffrensis) were rescued by a team of rescuers. The female and her calf were trapped in the shallow waters of a tributary of the Rio Meta River (northern Colombia). With the help of fishing nets and hammocks, the two dolphins were rescued. They were then released into the Caño Juriepe River. As a reminder, the pink dolphin is a freshwater mammal. It lives only in the rivers of the Amazon basins.
