Why is it called lemon shark?
0
0
The lemon shark lives mainly off the coasts of the American continent and the Pacific islands. It is recognizable thanks to its slender shape and short muzzle. Despite its imposing size (it measures on average 3 meters), the lemon shark is not very aggressive. It owes its name to its skin color, which tends towards yellow like a lemon. Its skin color helps it to camouflage itself in the sandy seabed.
