How does sand form?
3
0
The sand shapes the seashore. It is mainly formed from rocks. Under the effect of erosion and bad weather, the rocks decompose. This process takes thousands of years. Quartz and feldspar, two minerals that make up this rock, pass through rivers and end up in the oceans. The action of waves and tides erode them more, which creates grains of sand.
