How is gender determined in crocodiles?

0
The sex of the baby crocodile is determined in an atypical way. Unlike mammals, the sexual determination of crocodiles is not coming from an X or Y chromosome. It is the temperature that will determine the sex of the young crocodile! Temperatures between 31,5 (88,7°F) and 34°C (93,2°F) will favor the birth of young males, any other temperature: females.
