It is the most remote inhabited island in the world. It is located halfway between South Africa (Africa) and Argentina (South America), in the heart of the Atlantic Ocean. The island of Tristan Da Cunha is a British island a great refuge for biodiversity. The local government has just announced the creation of a marine protected area of 687,000 square kilometers, three times the size of the United Kingdom.
