This coral reef resists global warming

Off the coast of Egypt, the coral reef in the Gulf of Aqaba is flourishing. At a time when ocean warming is threatening corals around the world, this barrier reef is thriving. Swiss and Israeli scientists have found that these corals can withstand very high temperatures and carbon dioxide levels. The reason given is that of provenance.
