Her wingspan can reach 2.20 meters. The harpy eagle is one of the largest raptors in America. Her preys can weigh up to 7 kgs. Thanks to her claws larger than those of a grizzly, she easily hunts arboreal mammals, such as sloths or monkeys. When she spots her prey, the harpy eagle dives at a speed of 50mph. Native to Mexico, her range extends to South America via Central America.
