It is 135 million years old. Daintree Forest in northern Australia is the oldest rainforest in the world. Until now, the Australian government has owned it. A few days ago, the forest's management was handed over to the aboriginal tribe of Kuku Yalanji who have lived on these lands for thousands of years. This decision is part of an attempt at a reconciliation between the Aborigines communities et the Australian government. Photo credit: Manny Moreno
