A viper becoming...blue!

The Trimeresurus insularis snake is a species of snake that belongs to the order of vipers. Very venomous, this viper is normally yellow or green. On the other hand, on the island of Komodo (Indonesia), it has an unusual color: an intense turquoise blue! This color comes from a genetic mutation. These blue vipers measure between 60 and 80 centimeters and feed on small rodents and insects.
