He is one of the kings of camouflage in the animal kingdom. The Kallima inachus butterfly is nicknamed the “dead leaf butterfly”. The color and the shape of its wings give the perfect illusion of being a dead leaf. It camouflages itself among the leaves of trees and thus escapes the threat of birds. The species lives mainly in India, Nepal, Bangladesh, southern China, Taiwan, and Vietnam.
