A Californian discovery

0
The species was first spotted in 2014. Off the coast of California (western United States), a team of researchers had sent underwater vehicles with the aim of finding new underwater species. After several years of research, the team notes the discovery of a new species. Baptized Atolla reynoldsi, this bioluminescent jellyfish. As a reminder, only 10% of the marine species present in the world's oceans are known.
