A birth awaited for 3,000 years!

It didn't happen in 3,000 years. After intense conservation and reintroduction efforts, seven Tasmanian devils were born in the wild in Australia in the spring of 2021. The Tasmanian devil, a carnivorous marsupial, has long been hunted by wild dogs and dingoes. It disappeared from Australian soil and only survived in the wild on the island of Tasmania (an island in southern Australia).
