A birth awaited for 170 years

Two months ago, a golden eagle was born in the Haut-Jura mountains (north-eastern France). An event that didn't happen in 170 years. The species was persecuted by humans for centuries. Protected since the 1970s in the region, the golden eagle has slowly recolonized the territory. Today, the massif has 7 pairs of golden eagles.
