The elephant is an emblematic animal of the savannah. It is herbivorous, however, its nutritional needs are titanic. It feeds on nearly 200 kilograms of plants per day. To meet his needs, he devotes between 16 and 20 hours a day to travel in search of food. It is a diurnal animal that sleeps very little: about two hours per night. In addition, he can sleep standing up. Elephants are organized in a matriarchal society.
