24 hours of the life of... a polar bear!

The polar bear is the largest land carnivore in the world. Solitary, it hunts alone on the ice floes and feeds mainly on ringed seals. During the day, the polar bear swims, interacts with other bear, but spends most of its time hunting. One of his hunting methods is to dig a hole in the ice floe, spot the seal, and dive to capture it. It is estimated that our adult polar bear needs 50 to 60 seals per year to survive. It lives only in the Arctic, a region with extreme temperatures, but its black skin allows him to absorb the heat of the sun. On average, the polar bear lives between 15 to 30 years.
