24 hours of the life of... a hummingbird!

The hummingbird is the smallest bird in the world. During the day, it feeds on small insects and especially on flower nectar. Thanks to its 13 licks per second, the hummingbird can feed on 1,000 flowers in a day! It does not socialize much, the hummingbird is a solitary bird. When the day comes to an end, its heart rate and breathing drop sharply. It goes into a form of hibernation which makes it vulnerable to any type of nighttime attack.
