24 hours in the life of... a hippopotamus!

There are two species of hippos: the dwarf hippopotamus and the common hippo. Today, Africa is the only continent where they live. The hippopotamus is a herbivorous animal that spends most of its day in water or mud. At dusk, he goes out to eat grass. Unusual fact: when we go back the family tree, the hippopotamus is a distant cousin of the whale.
