24 hours of the life of... a gorilla!

The gorilla is the largest primate in the world. It can measure up to two meters and weigh 280 kg. Herbivorous, the gorilla feeds throughout the day: leaves, stems, roots, fruits and certain insects are its favorite foods. He can eat up to 18 kg of food per day. He sleeps an average of six hours a night. At nightfall, the male gorillas sleep at the foot of the trees while the young and the females sleep on the branches. The gorilla is today threatened by poaching and the destruction of its habitat.
