24 hours in the life of a... fly!

There are 80,000 species of flies. A fly lives on average between two and three months. With its 360 degrees view, almost nothing escapes it. It can spot food from miles away with its antennae. When it lands for food, it is its paws that give it information. Covered with sensory hairs, its paws let it know if the dish is bitter, sweet, or poisonous. Besides, a fly drinks, it does not eat! Thanks to enzymes present in its saliva, the fly liquefies its food and sucks it in with its proboscis. Very fast, the fly counts 200 wing movements per second.
