Since March 1, 2023, off the coast of Florida (eastern United States), American Joe Dituri has been living under the ocean. He must stay there for 100 days and beat the current record which is 73 days. In addition to the global feat that this represents, Joe Dituri, doctor of biomedicine, aims to discover the biological effects of such an experiment. On board a small 55 square meter underwater module, called Jules' Undersea Lodge, the scientist conducts several experiments on his body to analyze the effects of atmospheric pressure and those of lack of light.
