Marais Vernier, a natural bulwark
4
0
Guy de Maupassant would describe it as a whole world on earth. Rich in biodiversity, Marais Vernier is home to a 1,800 hectare peat bog, the largest in France. The proximity of the Seine estuary reminds us that the Marais is an ancient meander of the river, which gives it a functional role and an increased biological interest. Besides, the area is classified as being of European ecological interest.
