Sées has an extensive religious heritage due to its past as an episcopal city. The most renowned is Notre-Dame Cathedral and its Gothic architecture, most of which dates from 1210, listed as a Historical Monument since 1875. Created in 1969, the Departmental Museum of Religious Art bets on innovation. It presents 300 objects, paintings, liturgical vestments, etc... made in 3D. The artistic heritage of Sées is divided into numerous churches and chapels, while the museum brings visitors another vision of it.
