A fan in Point d'Alençon lace
1
0
This fan with a leaf in Point d'Alençon lace and a frame in blond tortoiseshell dates from the late 19th century (around 1890). It was purchased by the Musée des Beaux-Arts et de la Dentelle (Museum of Fine Arts and Lace) of the prefecture of the Orne department in 2009 with assistance from the FRAM (Regional Fund for the Acquisition of Museums). The iris is the main ornamental motif in the rich decorative program of this fan leaf.
