Since 1609, an old organ, built by Hans Huodt, has been present in the church of Riquewihr. In 1781, a new organ was ordered for the old Saint-Marguerite mixed church (Protestant and Catholic). It was crafted by organ builder Christian Langes, based in Uffholtz in the Upper-Rhin. The instrument was installed in 1783. The large case has a central three-sided turret and two side turrets surmounted by angels playing the violin or the trumpet. Its inspiration is the organ of Saint-Maurice church in Soultz (Upper-Rhine), built by Jean-André Silbermann in 1750.
