At Château du Clos de Vougeot, the press room is adorned with a monumental wooden vault ceiling. The monks of the Abbey of Cîteaux built a monastic barn that was embellished by massive construction additions during the Renaissance. In the angles, four large capstan wine presses, made of oak wood, could each accept 4 tons of grapes.
