The busiest of Le Robert islets
1
0
Located south of Boisseau islet at the eastern end of Baie du François, Madame islet is the busiest of Le Robert islets and the only one to experience a daily attendance. It welcomes a daily average of 150 visitors attracted by the sandy cove suitable for swimming located to its southwest. To maintain responsible ecotourism, this attendance, which can double on peak days, requires the management of garbage collection by municipal officers from Le Robert, officers from the Office National des Forêts (National Forests Office), and environmental associations. While most tourists arrive on the islet by boat and land on the docking pontoon built in 2009, good swimmers can reach Madame islet's shores by swimming from Pointe La Rose, 1,312 ft (400 m) away.
