Slopes with continuous vegetation

The Corniche des Maures, on which the Chartreuse de la Verne stands, is located between Cap Bénat and Saint-Tropez peninsula, facing the Golden Islands. It forms a green window dominating the jagged and steep siliceous Mediterranean coast. Its slopes are covered with uninterrupted vegetation of cork oaks, chestnut trees, mastic trees, or strawberry trees that rises up to the ridges and contrasts with the urbanization that surrounds the site further east and west.
