Sago flour
Sago flour is made out of the heart of a widely spread tree in the forest where live the Korowai. The operation is divided in two steps : first, the men of the village cut the tree ; then, the women of the village dig the trunk using an adze. Once grinded, the heart of the sago becomes an edible flour and can feed 2 or 3 families for a week.
