The second permanent exhibition at the Cité du Train allows discovering the history of French railways from 1844 to the present day. Entitled Les Quais de l'Histoire (The Platforms of History), it completes the sound and light show of the Parcours Spectacle with its 64 items collection. The exhibition retraces, over 3.21 acres (13,000 m²), the technological developments of railways in the country, from the oldest steam locomotive of 1844 to the TGV Euroduplex in 2013.
