Life in the present

For Pierre Daniel, merging with nature is a way of life. Surrounded by his sled dogs, he has lived for twenty years in a cabin without water nor electricity that he himself built at an altitude of 3,937 feet (1,200 meters) on the commune of Septmoncel-les-Molunes in the French Haut-Jura. Dogs and nature give him what he is looking for : a life in tune with the present moment. He divides his time between caring for his dogs, his musher services, welcoming tourists and creating sculptures or furniture from the wood he collects in the forest.
