Ribeauvillé forest

0
Riquewihr extends in an open valley. The vines from which the Schœnenbourg and Sporen grand cru are produced grow on the sub-Vosges hills nearby. A vast national forest rises there to more than 2,952 ft (900 m). Located between Thannenkirch, Riquewihr, and Aubure, on nearly 5,683 acres (2,300 ha), Ribeauvillé forest stands out for its natural and historical heritage. It is home to hundred-year-old trees and rocks with unusual shapes. They have inspired the myths and legends of Alsace for centuries.
