Kanak woman
The Kanak are the native French Melanesians of New Caledonia. They are mainly located in the North province (73.8%) and in that of the Loyalty Islands (96.6%) while they represent only 50% of the population of the South province where they are mainly established around Nouméa. They still form a rather young people despite the fall in their birth rate and the lengthening of their lifespan.
