The interior of the Notre-Dame des Baous chapel of Saint-Jeannet in the Alpes-Maritimes department is modest. Its furnishings, which in the 18th century comprised small altarpieces including one with the effigy of the Virgin and Child, are deprived of remarkable pieces. In front of the marble altar, the faithful can express their devotion towards Padre Pio (1887-1968), an Italian Capuchin and priest bearing the stigmata and canonized by the Catholic Church in 2002.
