4
0
Fakarava is a huge atoll located in the Tuamotu archipelago. It is the second largest atoll in French Polynesia, after Rangiroa. With its crystal-clear lagoon, surrounded by coral reefs: Fakarava has been officially designated a UNESCO biosphere. The inhabitants practice traditional fishing and a pearl culture, inherited from their Maori ancestors.
